At Brisbane Pool Inspections we can offer a pre-inspection which will outline any issues one may have with your current pool fence. We can also issue a pool safety certificate (form 23) when all compliant with current legislation.
Home Owner
The Queensland Government made it necessary, from 1st December 2010, for Pool Safety Certificates to exist where a property is bought or sold, or is leased to tenants, to confirm that the pool fence complies with the new Pool Safety Standard.
The main role of a pool safety inspection is to inspect pools to determine whether or not they comply with the swimming pool safety standards Queensland Development Code Mandatory Part 3.4 (PDF, 1.3MB).
Upon inspection, the inspector must issue a pool safety certificate or nonconformity notice, depending on the outcome of the inspection. The nonconformity notice must state how the pool doesn’t comply and what needs to be done to make it comply.
A Pool Fence inspection will cost $180 + GST for the initial inspection (the govt Pool Safety Certificate fee is $42.79). This fee includes a full report with photographs explaining the non-compliance as well as the tasks needing to be taken for these to be rectified.
Brisbane Pool Inspections is licensed to do on-site repairs if possible. This will save 2nd inspection fees and thus be ensuring a quick and efficient process in getting your pool fence compliant.
Brisbane Pool Inspections will supply a checklist beforehand which vastly increases the inspection passing first time round. A second inspection (if needed) will cost $95 + GST.
